Halfway Home Pet Adoptions (the City's animal shelter) is located at 4400 Raytown Road and is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., and Thursday from noon to 7 p.m.
Directions: From I-70, take the Blue Ridge Cutoff exit (by the stadiums). Go south to Raytown Road. Go west on Raytown Road for one mile. The shelter will be on the left.
